A massive thank you to everyone who travelled with us during 2011. We’ve had a great year and really appreciated all the positive feedback that we received. We also have some great forward bookings for 2012 which is absolutely fantastic, so again a big thank you to you all.

So what’s new for 2012?

We’ve reviewed the prices of the holidays that we offer and reduced the cost by as much as 10% in some cases, to make our holidays more affordable without compromising on the quality and attention to detail that we pride ourselves on. 

It is great to see that everybody appreciated the personal service we offer and with all transfers included at the start and end of their holiday, enjoyed a hassle free quality walking holiday.

If you need any help, however small, to plan your walking holiday please don’t hesitate to get in touch. As an added incentive we are offering a 5% discount on the basic holiday cost on all our holidays if you book before the 31 December 2011, so there really hasn’t been a better time to experience a Shepherds Walks Holiday

Hadrian’s Wall Trail - Guided

We are the only company that organises a guided walk along the full length of the Hadrian’s Wall Trail. For 2012 we’ve reviewed the itinerary of the 7 day holiday to even out the mileage to make it more attractive and manageable for people. We’ve also introduced an 8 day option which includes a shorter day of walking to enable you to spend time exploring the area and to give you a little breather. Our guided holidays are incredibly sociable with groups of like minded people sharing an incredible experience. Why not join us on one of our scheduled dates?

St Oswald’s Way
This beautiful 97 mile self guided walk combines some of the best walking Northumberland has to offer on a route that links places associated with St Oswald, the King of Northumbria, who in the early 7th Century played a major part in bringing Christianity to the United Kingdom.

St Cuthbert’s Way
This truly is a fantastic 60 mile trail, passing from Scotland into England through some very varied landscapes full of historical interest and natural beauty, from beautiful small border villages and historic towns to the rugged splendour of the Cheviot hills.

Hadrian’s Wall Trail
The sense of achievement after completing the Hadrians Wall Path National Trail is second to none. It’s an unbroken 84 mile walk stretching from coast to coast, and passes through some of the most beautiful parts of England - from rolling fields and rugged moorland to the vibrant cities of Newcastle and Carlisle.

We have been organising group trips on Hadrian’s Wall, St Oswald’s Way, St Cuthbert’s Way and the Northumberland Coast Path for a number of years now so if you are a member of a walking group, or just a group of friends looking for a walking holiday, please get in touch and see what we can do to help.

We have walked all our routes and have excellent local knowledge about each and every trip, and can adapt the holidays to the requirement of your group, adding in rest days and making sure the whole group stays in the same accommodation. With many of these groups coming back to us for a second time it certainly shows that they appreciate the quality of the experience they have received.
