Although traditionally the Hadrians Wall walk is completed east to west, having many years experience leading guided walks along the Hadrians Wall corridor, we believe that the best way to undertake the Hadrians Wall walk is to start at Bowness-on-Solway in the west and finish at Segadunum Fort at Wallsend in the east. The wind can be a useful ally when behind you!
You will be accompanied throughout by a fully qualified guide who will no doubt inspire you with their local knowledge, wit and charm. Packed lunches are provided each day and accommodation is in specially selected small hotels, and farmhouses offering traditional mouthwatering breakfasts. Evening meals are available at each establishment or nearby and paid for locally.
This truly is a fantastic walking holiday in one of the most beautiful areas in England. Challenging but extremely rewarding, the sense of achievement after completing the Hadrians Wall walk is second to none. But don't take our word for it, the Hadrians Wall Path National Trail has been voted 'Britain's Greatest Walking Trail' in 2011 by Countryfile magazine. Need we say more?
